Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern use of BuiltList at builtlist.space (the “Service”). By creating an account, submitting a listing, voting, or paying for ads or featured placement, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2. The Service

BuiltList is a public directory of products, AI agents, and bots associated with Sri Lankan founders and builders. We may change, pause, or stop parts of the Service at any time. Listings are community-submitted and are not endorsements by BuiltList.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the Service, impersonate others, or violate these Terms.

4. Listings and user content

When you submit a product, agent, profile, or other content, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it is lawful and accurate. You grant BuiltList a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and promote that content on the Service and in related communications (for example a launch email).

Submissions may be reviewed before they go live. Approval is not guaranteed. We may reject, edit for formatting, unpublish, or remove listings that are misleading, off-topic, infringing, or harmful.

5. Marketplace

The BuiltList marketplace lets founders list products for acquisition and lets verified users express interest. BuiltList is a listing platform and transaction coordinator only — not a licensed broker, financial advisor, or escrow holder. We do not advise on price or valuation, and we do not hold buyer or seller funds.

When a seller accepts your expression of interest, we may share contact details so you can continue off-platform. Asset transfers and payment (including escrow via a third party) happen between buyer and seller. Completed transfers may incur a success fee as shown on the marketplace page.

Contract templates on BuiltList are for coordination only and are not legal advice. Obtain independent professional advice before signing any agreement.

6. Payments

Paid features include advertising placements and optional featured product boosts. Prices shown at checkout are in LKR or USD depending on your location. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Dodo Payments). We do not store full card numbers.

Ad campaigns start after we approve creative, not at the moment of payment. If we reject an ad, we refund the purchase. Featured placement duration is as described at checkout. Except where required by law or stated at purchase, fees are otherwise non-refundable once a paid placement is live.

7. Acceptable use

Do not scrape the directory in a way that harms the Service, attempt to bypass access controls, manipulate votes, post spam or malware, or use BuiltList to collect personal data about other users. Do not upload content you do not have rights to.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that listings are complete, that upvotes or rankings are free from manipulation, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuiltList is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on directory content.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
